 YLD Bylaws

The Pima County Bar Association Young Lawyers Division (YLD) is a group of attorneys who have been in practice less than 5 years and/or are under the age of 36. By joining the Pima County Bar you are automatically a member of the YLD at no additional cost.  In addition to membership in the Young Lawyers Division, PCBA membership affords opportunities for networking, professional growth and a myriad of community service programs in which you can participate.

Although the PCBA YLD is a division of the Pima County Bar Association, it is governed by its own Board of Directors. The Board meets on a monthly basis. ALL YOUNG LAWYERS ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND THE MONTHLY YLD BOARD MEETINGS. For more information, please contact the YLD President. Information about upcoming programs are sent to ALL young lawyers.  To be a member of the PCBA YLD, one must be a current member of the Pima County Bar Association.

YLD HOLIDAY PARTY:  Every December, YLD hosts a holiday party for local foster children, working with the Arizona Children's Association.  Funds are raised to provide gifts to all the participating children.

ANNUAL JUDICIAL RECEPTION:  Each year, when the Arizona Supreme Court has oral arguments in Tucson, the YLD hosts a judicial reception honoring our judiciary and giving new lawyers an opportunity to meet our local judges, federal judges and Supreme Court justices. Young lawyers, Judges and sponsors are invited to attend.

YLD TRAVEL: The PCBA Young Lawyers Division affords travel opportunities for YLD members to attend various ABA meetings including the Annual Meeting, Regional Conferences and Workshops. This not only gives our new lawyers an opportunity to network, but gives them a look at what's going on in other local Associations.
