PCBA AD-HOC COMMITTEES & SECTIONS
FAMILY LAW SECTION

Current Chair: Lisa McNorton

Provides members of the section with updated information concerning the practice of family law in Pima County, including rule changes and changes in forms, as well as coordinating CLE seminars when necessary and appropriate.

  

STRATEGIC PLANNING COMMITTEE Current Chair:  Laurie Beaver San Angelo Meets: 3rd Thursday of the month

Regularly reviews current PCBA programs, practices and procedures and engages in research and development of new endeavors that benefit the organization and its members.

PUBLIC ATTORNEYS SECTION

Provides a forum for public attorney members of the Pima County Bar to meet and organize activities, events or CLEs that target the needs and concerns of public attorneys

 

ROBERT HOOKER AWARD COMMITTEE Chairs: Dee-Dee Samet & Hon. Sarah Simmons

Meets: 1st & 2nd Quarter of Each Year

Annually publicizes award, reviews applications and selects yearly winner.

SPORTS & LEISURE SECTION

Provides a forum for PCBA members to meet on an informal, social basis to engage in various sports-related or non-work activities.

  

RULES COMMITTEE

Proposes new rules and reviews new rules and proposed rule changes to determine whether PCBA should comment.

HAWKINS PROFESSIONALISM AWARD COMMITTEE
Current Chair: John Swain
Meets: 1st & 2nd Quarter of Each Year

Annually solicits students to apply for the John G. Hawkins Professionalism Award; interviews and selects yearly winner.

 

SKYLINE COMMITTEE

Organizes the Annual Skyline Affair event (a fundraiser for Southern Arizona Legal Aid), for PCBA members, hosted by PCBA.

LAWYER REFERRAL SERVICE (LRS)/ 
QUALIFIED INCOME LEGAL TEAM
(QUILT) COMMITTEE

Meets: 2nd Wednesday of the Month

Reviews and recommends procedures and activities of both PCBA programs that connect lawyers to people in need of legal help.

 

 YOUNG LAWYERS DIVISION (YLD)
Current President: Mark Heckele
Meets: 4th Wednesday of the Month

PCBA YLD provides community service, new lawyer education and networking opportunities. It is governed by its own Board of Directors, the officers and makeup of which changes yearly.

PROGRAM COMMITTEE

Develops programs for the monthly general membership luncheon meetings. 

   THE WRIT COMMITTEE
